thank god i never even visit the front page enough to care about this and headache myself over it :D

but really, people need to stop being so fave-happy .. it brings down your fellow anime/anthro artists ! i also think its disrespectful to fave so many things in one day.. a fave is exactly what it is, a fave, and should be treated as such.. my faves stay at least one day before i fave another piece of work.. its my appreciation to the artist who created it by letting it stay on my front page for at least a day. faving 100 things a day is insanely unnecessary.

DA admin will think of a better way soon though.. so everyone needs to stop fretting! ^^;

ps. i deleted those gaia commissions.. thanks for everyone who seemed to like them though. i just felt they took away from my gallery, and i didn't much care for them to be sticking around. ^^; still in a bit of a slumpuu.. i'm climbing my way out a la roy & ed art.. hopefully!

Mine sometime stay for WEEKS, if I really like the piece... *cough* THE ONE NOW *cough* It ticks me off how the rabid fans of the popular artists on DA think that if they fav every single piece of their artwork, they will notice them eventually. WRONG! If only they knew... *sigh*

lol yeah, i think DTF became a bit of a popularity contest.. which isn't too good, since some of the same popular artists kept getting DTF. they deserve it, most of their art is great, dont get me wrong, but they do have a huge sea of fans that are prone to abusing the system.

I know some people that fave everything they like even just a little bit, just so they will get lots of comments on their dev page, all that say "thanks for the fave XD"
I also try to keep faves on my page at least a day (mostly more) and also, I want to keep the number of favourites I have LESS than the number of deviations I have. Don't ask........

I fully agree...I think I have like, twelve favorites? It's nuts to have masses of them...and I personally rarely look at the DTFs so I don't really care about the ban >P

OMFG DTF is the most overatted way on *talent* on DA or anywhere else online, it's just not accurate!!!! and im glad that they restriced that thing..er.. uh not letting any anime be on it ^^;;;

O__O;; Man... I really have never paid attention to DTFs and have never aspired to be on there either... too much of a highschool mentality about it. I try to leave my favorites on there for a day or more... especially since I favorite it so if someone should happen to come across my page they can see what the goal I wish to reach (as far as quality art) & sometimes it's for personal reasons that I fav something (like gift art). Oh well I'm just afraid that the people will piss off the admins so much that they'll ban the fav system all together. x___x;;

kweh,, I always do +fav a lot ^^: Usually because I'm on a computer that I can't save the pic.. But then I haven't gotten back to doing that stuff.. ..... ..ever. x.x;; I'm trying not to fav as much, since it DOES take away from my fav artists and such.. >>; I need to work on it. --;

hehe, faving a lot is alright as long as you really really love the pieces you fave. i guess i'm addressing the people who don't really use devart to submit their own art, but have accounts just to fave and fave and fave (i've seen more of these types of accounts lately) i think thats what counts as abuse of the fave system ^^; but me too, there's so many talented artists out there nowadays its hard to restrain myself from faving!! ^^;
